The winner who requested not to be named was a new player and she was playing her third game. She never intended to play originally and she was just caring for the one who regularly plays Bingo. The lucky lady says that she is still in shock and will only really believe that she won once the ₤18 000 goes into her banking account. The bewildered lady won ₤16 363 in the National Bingo Game, the Regional prize, ₤2 099 as well as a ₤80 house prize. Although that night the National Prize was ₤32 724, but another player also called full house in forty three numbers so the two winners shared the prize.

The Glenrothes lady works as a cashier in a supermarket and generally plays bingo with her father about twice a week. They are members at the Gala Bingo club, but her father was not playing with her on the night of the win. She is married with one child and says that she wants to use her winnings to buy a new car.

I wonder if she is going to be sharing the prize money with her father? The report from the national Bingo didn’t say! I should assume so as UK bingo winners seem to be most generous when it comes to sharing with their bingo playing partners, even when they are not present on the night of a win.

The woman works as a cashier in a supermarket and is married with one child.  She usually plays bingo twice a week at the Gala with her Dad, although on the evening of her big win she was playing alone.

The armed robbery took place at the Keighly Gala Bingo club last year in April and the two detectives were found to have gone out of their way to find out who the perpetrators were, arrest them and bring the case to court. They were also praised for their witness care.

Unlike the former policeman, Matthew Brakewell who was accused of posing as a police officer who was undercover on a covert operation in order to be able to steal cash from the Gala bingo club in Bradford. He was also responsible for stealing £2 000 even days earlier at the Mecca bingo club in Rochdale. The former police officer was armed in both instances and faces two fire arms charges as well as the burglary rap.

A player in Blackpool also called the same game in the same amount of numbers so the prize had to be shared, although the amount was still not half bad, they both completed the game and called bingo on the 90 after forty-six calls.

Apparently the entire club jumped up and cheered her, clapping and making a huge fuss, but the poor dear did not yet realise just how much money she had won. She has been a member at the Gala Bingo club in Clydebank since it was opened and has been a very regular player, playing three to four times a week with one of her friends.

According to the manager of the club this lucky lady had a real hard time managing to play the late session, obviously she had bigger things on her mind and thinking about a prize of that size is enough to put anyone’s concentration off a little.
