The latest winner of the UK National Bingo jackpot is a sixty-five year old woman who wishes to remain unnamed. She won the huge prize at the Coronet Bingo Club in Didcot and came away from the game £390,000 richer, that is really a life changing amount of money.
The woman who has been suffering from ill-health for the past few years says that this win has really changed her luck, she has been a member of the bingo club since it opened in 1981 and her biggest win ever was £200.
The woman’s husband who does not play bingo, walks her to and from the club and that night when he arrived to collect her a passer-by asked him if he was smiling and said “well if you’re not, you will be in a minute.” He couldn’t believe it when he walked into the club, his wife was shaking like a leaf, while the bingo club manager, John Carpenter shared the good news with him. Her husband had planned to retire in two years, but now he can give up work now.
The national bingo prize for the evening was £700,208 and was shared with another winner in Cricklewood. This winner plans to have a new kitchen, garage door and a new set of wheels with her prize money.
