A 42 year old woman from Brighton, who was playing her third Bingo game, won the Gala’s high 5 jackpot and she earned £350,000. According to the rules of the game, a full house has to be hit on the number 5. The total prize money was £700, 000 of which half goes to the winner and the remaining will be shared equally among the rest of the other players.

The winner who requested not to be named was a new player and she was playing her third game. She never intended to play originally and she was just caring for the one who regularly plays Bingo. Just because she was forced to play the game, she got a £2.5 ticket and that turned out to be the best investment she has ever made.

The winner played without having any hope and everyone amazed when she was announced as the winner and she was about to collect £350,000. The player was amused and she couldn’t talk for 20 minutes after the results were announced. The people at the Bingo hall congratulated her and they offered her a drink. She was so excited that she could not even pick up the glass.

One of the Bingo players in the hall helped her call her work and home, informing the huge prize amount. Totally, 240 members played the game and according to the rules, 239 players other than the winner made £1,265 on the beautiful Wednesday afternoon.

Online bingo has a very special place in the UK market, they give away far more than any of the land based bingo operators, and so they should. They have to attract and keep customers in the droves in order to make a success of themselves. Besides all the cash prizes, promotions and welcome bonuses, online bingo sites offer loyalty or bonus points.

Loyalty or bonus points are earned by all online bingo players. If they are playing at a site that does not offer these, I would suggest they change allegiance. Bingo bonus points are often handed out when you first join, when you buy tickets and when you play chat games. These add up and are able to be chased in for money to play even more bingo. Some times they are even able to be traded for tangible gifts and I have seen some online bingo sites that offer extremely worthwhile gifts in their gift shops.

One very innovative online bingo site that operates in the land based industry too; is Gala Bingo. Now their bonus point system is really special, because you are able to earn Nectar points when playing either land based or online bingo. Nectar is the largest loyalty point system in the UK and offers the ability to earn points from many high street retail outlets. This just makes it seem so much more worthwhile to play online bingo with Gala, you get to play your favorite game with a trusted brand and earn Nectar points, it doesn’t get much better than that!

Just as many pop culture trends change rapidly around the world, so too does online bingo. I have seen tremendous changes in online bingo since the few short years that I have been writing about the subject. It is unfortunate that land based bingo is having a hard time of it in the present economic climate and many clubs have had to close down, but this is not due to the fact that we now play online bingo instead. There are a number of variables contributing to the decline of land based bingo.

But back to online bingo, the growth in popularity of this game has been exponential and for the time being this is not slowing down. The trend of playing online games has always been big, it started right back with those computer games we played on DOS based systems. Games like “Leisure Suit Larry” and “Dangerous Dave”, even the more basic games like “Lemmings” and “Pac Man”.

It was great not to have to go to the corner shop to play on their computerized games, all we had to do was sit back in the comfort of our own home and play. So it is understandable that when online bingo and other forms of gaming became available through the power of the internet, that people were going to want to play it from the comfort of their homes.
In more recent times however the trend has changed to encompass some really big cash and other prizes as the competition between online bingo sites grows. Fortunately for we who play online bingo, this has benefited us the most.

Online bingo is one of the most versatile forms of entertainment to be found on the internet today. While the internet itself is entertaining, you can’t beat bingo for fun and excitement. Not only that it is one of the cheapest forms of entertainment available where you can win honest to goodness cash prizes and every little bit helps in these economic hard times.

Online bingo can be played at any time of the day or night, there are always people in the chat rooms and with different time zones around the world, who knows who you might meet. Some online bingo rooms even provide private chat rooms, so if you meet someone you think might be special, you can even spend some private time with them online.

Another really special innovation in online bingo is the meeting of two forms of media. Online bingo and television, bingo cards for a game may be download and printed, and you could invite your friends around for a bingo evening. One of the biggest games to his the UK is the ITV Bingo Night Live, this is a completely free game, so you and your mates could really enjoy a good time with this one. The only thing is that this game plays out from Midnight to one, so it might be a bit difficult getting up for work the next morning, especially if you have had a few toots while playing..

If you have every tried playing online bingo and have been completely bamboozled by the terminologies used in the chat rooms, don’t worry, help is at hand. I know I have been there and it is a bit embarrassing to keep asking what this means and what that means. It happened to me and I actually felt quite stupid.

Online bingo players in chat rooms all have a special way of chatting, they use anachronisms, these are basically short forms for different words and phrases. This is referred to as “Bingo Lingo”. If you go online and are not sure what WTG means then you need to know that virtually every online bingo site has a section that deals with bingo lingo. You just go to the “Bingo Lingo” item and look up whatever you need to know. This section provides all the explanations for any words of phrases you might have seen in the chat room.

It is a great idea to brush up on these even before you play in an online bingo chat room. It will give you the confidence to chat with other players and make you feel like you are an old hat online bingo player. It would be very unlikely that your online bingo site did not have this section, but if that should be the case, you can find “Bingo Lingo” terminology at any of the other online bingo sites as well as online bingo portals.

Olympic fever is amongst as all at the moment, the opening ceremony went off in grand style and Think Bingo is hosting a special promotion where players are able to win Gold, Silver and Bronze medal. This is not what you think, you won’t be asked to jump over hurdles or cross country race through muddy fields. On the contrary, you will hardly need to work up a sweat. That is unless you get hot and bothered when you see you have one to go in any of the games participating in the promotion.

So if you have more of an interest in online bingo than seeing who the world’s next male Olympic gold medal holder in the 100m breaststroke is going to be. Think bingo’s medal prizes are probably going to really turn you on.

This promotion is running currently and will be online until the 24th August. All you are required to do is enter the seventy five ball bingo room, bingo four times on different patterns including “O” – Olympics, “B” – Beijing, “G” – Gold and the number one (1) to get into the thick of this Olympic promotion and you will be in good standing to win a prize for one of the three medals.
The medal prizes, compromise:
Gold = 150 000 Think Points
Silver = 75 000 Think Points
Bronze = 25 000 Think Points
These are Think Bingo loyalty points and every 1 000 points is worth ₤1. This means that you convert your points for cash and you can play free bingo.

Online bingo players are taking the bait and bagging big winnings at online bingo sites in the UK in recent times. Rocketrod 456 from Biggest Bingo started the week in sparkling fashion with a total of ₤6 968.57 in winnings. The days total winnings on the site amounted to ₤20 636.85. His cash prize made him the biggest winner of the day and together with the other winners at the online bingo site, this really made his day.

Other big winners online at Biggest Bingo included bigaok who won ₤6 664.70 and steve278 with a win of ₤4 722.19. It is interesting to note that at least two of these winners were men don’t you think?

Popular games being played at this online bingo site include ninety ball bingo, Diamonds are Forever, Cruise Ship and Letter A. Instant games winners included suziejayne who won ₤600.80 and hbridge29 with a win of ₤303.30.

All of this just in one day speaks volumes that online bingo and side games are paying out decent enough cash prizes, and in terms of promotions, MidnightOwl 1 also bagged a prize for two to watch Kylie Minogue perform live in London after her win two weeks ago in the Treasure Trove room..

One thing is certain, more and more people are winning big at online bingo sites in the UK and if you want to be one of these lucky winners, remember that time stands still for no man. .

888 Ladies.com is one of the largest and most successful online bingo operators. They are also part of the 88.com group and are massive players in the online gaming industry. Recent developments saw them sign with Ash Gaming to provide its customers with online virtual dog and horse racing. So now they will provide their customers with fixed odds gaming in this area.

I have looked at a great many online bingo and casino sites, but this one must have slipped through the cracks for me as I was completely unaware that there was such a ting as virtual online horse and dog racing. Although I can’t think why, there is pretty much everything else available, why not these two also?

The Senior VP of 888.com, Gabi Compos said of the deal, that they have analysed the market and found many of their members enjoy this combination of gaming experience. They like to extend their real sports gaming with virtual gaming experiences. The partnership with Ash Gaming will make this possible.

Online bingo is rapidly increasing in popularity in the UK, I know for a fact that land based horse and dog racing is also popular. It will be interesting to see if this new combination of virtual sports betting will actually be successful in the future. But then again, 888.com have a wealth of experience, so they must understand their market trends and needs.

In an attempt to enter the Spanish online bingo marketplace, the recent launch of Winzingo online bingo has Parlay entertainment partnering with the online site and hopefully launching themselves into a market that has been said, remains relatively untapped. Not only will this site appeal to Spanish speaking people in Europe, but there is also a massive market in South American and other Spanish speaking countries.

Although they are targeting Spanish women, I don’t really understand this as it is a well known fact that Spanish men are the bingo players. I suppose it does make some sense in that the market is untapped and any company launching wants to target an untapped market to draw new players.
Winzingo is headquartered in Luxembourg and licensed in the Netherlands Antilles, Malta and Italy and is owned and operated by Gaming VC Plc.

The Chief Executive officer of Gaming VC, Kenneth Alexander has said that the use of Parlay Entertainments’ software has made it relatively simple for them to both develop and launch a “localized” version of online bingo in Spanish, The make use of a Spanish bingo caller and have the ability to conduct financial transactions in Euro, there are also Spanish CM’s, customer service agents and e-commerce solutions. The European Managing Director for Parlay Entertainment, Steve Cook says that Winzingo is a prime example of an online bingo site seeking to expand their core business into bigger markets outside of the UK.

Last year we heard about Mecca Bingo selling off part of the shares in the company to the giant Malaysian gambling company Genting. They actually sold of 11 % of the shareholding, and now we hear that they are in the process of selling more shares to the Guoco group, also a Malaysian gambling concern, who already holds a stake in Rank, the parent company of Mecca bingo. This increases their stake in the company to a huge 12.67%.

Mecca bingo is a major force in the UK bingo business, it is a successful Brand and they are also famous for operating online bingo. At present that are experiencing strong profitability challenges in their land based bingo halls and this more than likely is attributed to the fact that external factors have impacted on turnovers., these include double taxation, the smoking ban and the removal of section 21 slots machines from bingo clubs.

This move has caused speculation as to whether there might be a takeover bid in the works, however I suppose that we shall have to take a “wait and see” attitude regarding he possibility of a pending takeover. Mecca Held out against the US gaming giant Harrah’s, in their attempt at a takeover. But his latest sale of shares has the bingo pundits wondering what is going to happen next.
