World Famous Bingo Winner Goes Back to Work

The recent winner of the National Bingo Platinum jackpot prize of £1.1 million, Christine Bradford, has gone back to work. We last reported that she works three days a week at a local garage and truth be told I was wondering if she would actually go back to her job.

But it seems that the huge win, which she shared with her bingo partner, her sister-in-law, has not turned this sensible lady’s head. The fifty-three year old grandmother has gone back to her job at the Texaco garage in Blackwood where she earns £5.50 an hour as a part time cashier.

Christine has vowed that her new found fortune will not change the way she lives and fears that is she stayed at home all day doing nothing she would just shop all of her money away. She and her husband Ray have no really big plans for the money and intend to remain in their terraced home in Bargoed, Caerphilly.

She has been a regular player at the bingo hall in Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan, where she won the massive prize, for eleven years and even though things have been a bit mad for her since her win, she has already been back to play again.
